Ashley was born to parents who both had mental health disorders and developmental delays. When she was 14 her father was diagnosed with a terminal brain disease and passed away only eight months later. Her mother was unable to care for her and her sister and they ended up in foster care. Living in a group home she graduated from high school and went on to college where she graduated with her degree in Psychology. She has done a lot with her life, including joining the military, getting married, and having beautiful children of her own. She is currently working towards her Master's Degree in Social Work, and will graduate in May 2022. Ashley plans to work in the child welfare field advocating for foster children, as her team advocated for her and helped her to be such a success today.
