Weekend Retreat for Lluvia to help her transition into adulthood

Lluvia has had many problems trying to adapt to being in foster care. She hates the fact that this is how her life has turned out. Attending this weekend retreat will allow her to pair up with a mentor to get one-on-one time to show her that life is what you make it. This will be a great weekend retreat for her to learn more about adapting to the real world when she becomes an adult. Lluvia will have time to think and talk about life with her peers and a caring adult. Strengthening Families, Inc. is an incredible organization hosting this retreat full of activities designed to help teens build self-esteem and navigate gender-specific issues. The youth will undergo mentoring while going through the various activities including hiking, fishing, crafts, praise time, and other games. The goal is to break down barriers and open conversation.
Lluvia is 17 years old and lives in TX
Lluvia is a smart and talented child and very helpful. She has had difficulty dealing with the separation from her sister and nephew but she does her best to cope. She enjoys spending time outside playing soccer on a beautiful day. She also likes to express herself through drawing.
