Karla is on track to graduate high school and plans to attend post secondary school with a desire to become a doctor as she has seen few Spanish speaking doctors. Karla and her siblings moved into a culturally specific relative foster home who already have 4 of their own birth children so money is tight. Karla has focused on her education and not worked so she does not have her own income to spend on "extra" items.
Karla is 20 years old and lives in MN
Karla is an amazing, articulate, kind youth and is a great older sister to her two younger siblings living together in foster care. Despite instability before coming into foster care, she has remained positive and respectful. She loves to learn and hopes to become a doctor. Karla is very independent, reliable, responsible, and respectful. She loves to read and learn new things. She also likes to play on her phone, watch TV, and spend time with her friends.
