Darlene is asking for new shoes because her current shoes are worn out. She's worn the same shoes for a very long time and hopes to be able to pick out new, affordable footwear that she can wear confidently and comfortably on campus. She'd be so happy to have this opportunity to shop for new shoes!
Darlene is 22 years old and lives in CA
Darlene spent 13 years in care. Her greatest challenge during this time was coping with the loss of her mother and bullying from her peers. She is incredibly proud of being the first person in her family to graduate and has used her experience as motivation to create a stable life for herself.
