A Triple Stroller for Melody's Aunt to be able to safely take her to daycare, shopping and out in the neighborhood
Posted May 16, 2022
Melody and her baby sister were just unexpectedly placed in the home of their Aunt. No one even knew the children existed; therefore no one was prepared to take them in. Both girls are now enrolled in daycare and the Aunt walks them there as it is only a few blocks away. Their Aunt also has a 2 year old child of her own and is trying to figure out how to safely get all three children to and from the daycare. A triple stroller is needed; however they are expensive and the Aunt will not be receiving any subsidy for the children until June and they need new clothes, diapers, wipes, supplies and toys as they came with nothing. The Division attempted to purchase one for her; however the few places that have the model needed in stock require a credit card or gift card and the state can only write a state issued check. The caseworker is requesting OSW's help in purchasing a triple stroller for this family to help preserve this placement and ensure all three children are safe when walking to/from daycare or going on walks into town or to the park. This is 1 of 2 wishes to get this absolutely needed stroller to this family.
