Jake loves coloring, painting and playing with play doh. He has to sit at the big table to play now but loves the small tables at pre-k and has asked for his own for home. He also loves picnics and he told his grandmother that if he had his own little table, they could have a picnic every day. This table is small play-doh and lightweight enough that she could carry it outside so they could have their picnics together. It comes with chairs and is easily washable.
Jake is 5 years old and lives in AL
Jake has lived with his grandparents since he was 3 days old. Due to prenatal drug exposure, he has struggled with motor function, speech, and vision. He worked hard in therapy and at home to catch up to kids his age. Now, you would never know how much he struggled at the beginning of his life. There was a time when we didn’t know if he would ever speak, now he is never quiet! He is full of questions. He is so smart, loving, and bossy. He likes to help with the younger kids in the family and tries to comfort them if they are upset.
