Photography mentorship for Natasha to upgrade her skills

Posted Feb 20, 2024
Natasha's experience of growing up in foster care has given her a deep sense of empathy for those who have faced adversity. While in care her foster family recognized her passion for preserving moments and gifted her a Polaroid camera. This seemingly simple gesture ignited a flame within her that would lead her down a path of self-discovery and healing through the art of photography. Her passion for photography offers a chance for individuals to hold onto moments she never had a chance to hold on to herself. As a photographer, she uses her skills to give back to the community by providing families, especially those in similar circumstances, with precious memories. Natasha is seeking a one-on-one mentorship opportunity to learn shooting techniques, editing skills, and gain real-life shooting experience with a seasoned photographer. She also hopes to learn how to run a successful photography business.

Natasha is 36 years old and lives in CA

Natasha lost both of her parents to the harsh realities of domestic violence at an early age which set her on a path through the foster care system. She navigated various foster homes, never having the chance to establish a stable foundation. The lack of stability was further emphasized by the absence of tangible memories – no family photos to look back on. Everything changed for Natasha when she entered a foster home that not only provided stability, but also a means for her to capture and create memories.
