Matthew is blossoming in his foster home, and the Urban Surf events and volunteers work with him to make him feel safe and welcome. He used to be afraid of the water, but with their help overcame his fear and learned to swim. He is now learning to surf and loves participating in the program every summer. Matthew loves riding his quad, playing basketball, and football with his brother, and surfing. He has a lot of energy and the water has become his therapy. It has been amazing watching Matthew grow and overcome his past trauma.
