Rolando, 21 years old, NV

Rolando entered the foster care system at just nine years old, learning early on how to navigate life with resilience and determination. From a young age, he developed a strong work ethic and took pride in every opportunity to provide for himself and, later, for his loved ones. Until recently, Rolando was employed at UPS, where he worked diligently to build a stable future. However, due to economic shifts and policy changes, he was laid off. Despite this setback, Rolando hasn’t stopped moving forward. He has been picking up odd jobs wherever he can, doing everything possible to secure stable employment again. With his first child on the way, Rolando is more motivated than ever. He is focused not only on finding a new job but also on building the kind of life he never had growing up—one filled with security, love, and opportunity for his growing family.
