Hazel is one of four daughters in her family. She, along with her sisters and brother, lives with their grandmother in foster care. Hazel is very close in age to her youngest sister, and they have often been mistaken for twins. She is quiet, shy, and sensitive. Academically, Hazel excels in school, and she enjoys playing house with their dolls. Additionally, she loves to create—drawing and making things bring her great joy. Her eyes light up when you ask her about her recent artwork. Hazel also enjoys participating in cultural Pow Wows. She mentioned that the skirt her grandmother made for her is beautiful, and she can't wait until she is old enough to join in the dancing.
