Calab, 19 years old, TX
Calab has had a tough journey. He first met the Department of Child Services when he was just three years old, and by the time he was ten, he moved into foster care. Recently, he started a new chapter in his life by joining a Supervised Independent Living (SIL) program. Despite all these changes, Calab shows amazing strength and resilience. One of his greatest strengths is his ability to stay flexible in tough situations. He adapts well to challenges and faces them boldly. As he puts it, “I don’t bend or break.” This attitude shows just how strong and determined he is. Calab is also very creative! He loves coloring, reading, and writing. Plus, he has a knack for hands-on work, especially maintenance and woodwork. Working with tools and building things really excites him, and he dreams of starting his own construction business someday. What stands out most about Calab is his big heart. He’s always ready to help others, no matter what. His resilience, creativity, and willingness to lend a hand make him a remarkable young man with a bright future ahead!
