Saving Grace – A Community Focused Ministry- Supplementary support for families with grieving children. Nyzia Easterling through selfless perseverance was inspired to launch Saving Grace on April 2011. What began as a locally targeted neighborhood youth support group rapidly expanded into a collaborative community focused organization. She alone personally financed and supported this program with her relentless resolve to balance her working schedule as a substitute teacher against the inordinate demands brought about from the spiraling violence over taking her community – it was and is personal. She began by offering counseling activities with tutorial help to children, and gleaned from among the remnants of broken households the remaining parent/guardians to assist them, and thus recruited them as resource for those who were affected by the violent death of their love ones.
