Halie shows a deep connection and love for music. Whether this is listening to music through her headphones in the hallways during passing periods or in the comfort of her own room, she shows great affection for all kinds of music. Additionally, Halie attends church weekly and is part of their youth group, which she enjoys greatly. Halie presents as shy when you first meet her, but once she feels she can trust you, her true colors shine and will leave a very special place in your heart. Since she has been in the foster care system, she has experienced many unfortunate circumstances that caused her to move to multiple placements. She has been in foster care for many years and has attended six different schools. In an effort to remember her childhood, she often watches TV shows like SpongeBob. She has also found that art helps her express herself, and she is passionate about sketching. Despite the significant trauma and instability that Halie has endured, she has shown an immense amount of resiliency.

Due to personal circumstances, she is unable to reach her full potential and feels as though a laptop would help her immensely. Not only does this give Haile the opportunity to catch up on various homework assignments and provide flexible freedom to work on future assignments, but eliminates the inability to work on academics outside of school grounds. Haile would be given the opportunity to succeed academically and not have to deal with certain barriers that hinder her abilities. There are too often individuals who struggle to be as successful as possible due to this same barrier of not having access to a laptop or desktop at home. If provided with a laptop that ensures Haile would have access to her academics at home, she would be able to blossom and thrive in her academic and personal life.
