Ben is nonverbal and struggles to communicate with the world around him. At school, he has access to a tablet with educational games and communication software. However, he does not have a personal tablet that he can take anywhere he goes. This prevents him from being able to continue to develop his communication skills and feel connected to the world around him. This wish will get him his own tablet so he can begin feeling more independent.
Ben is 4 years old and lives in MA
Ben is a happy, silly, and cuddly little boy with complex medical and developmental needs. He shows growth every day in his ability to learn new words, identify letters, and show off his use of sign language. He also loves reading back to front, following along with his finger, and turning books to read the title down the spine. Though he is still learning to communicate verbally, Ben has a sense of warmth that is felt by everyone he meets and is such a bright little boy.
