Melia has endured childhood traumas and experiences that have caused ongoing struggles with her mental and physical health. However, aside from these struggles, she manages to find the motivation to accomplish the things she needs to and strives hard to be a good student in school. Melia earned straight As for the past three years of school and also spends her time finding ways to help others, like volunteering with a local sandwich shop to make food for the homeless.

It has been Melia’s dream to go to Disneyland. Melia has been doing extra chores around the house to earn money in hopes of earning enough money to be able to go. Finances have been tight in her foster home but she only has Disney in sight. Melia believes this place may help her feel a little happiness and a spark inside. This wish would provide Melia and her caregiver an amazing, carefree day at Disney!
