Dustin is a sweet boy with a huge interest in music. Dustin entered foster care because his mother was not able to care for him due to substance abuse by his mother, and his father is in prison, serving a life sentence for several murders. Dustin has been placed in 7 group and foster homes since his removal from his home in 2020. Since January 2023, Dustin has been placed in a home where he hopes he will remain as he continues to progress. Dustin says this home is the first relationship he has made that appears hopeful for providing him with a permanent and forever family. Since his placement there, he has done much better in school, can finally make friends, and is a happy young man.

Dustin had these amazing Beats headphones that he absolutely loved. They meant a lot to him because he used to talk about music with his birth mother and father during visits and phone calls. As a result, he formed a strong attachment with them. Plus, they were the only thing that he could call his own and keep with him throughout all of his placement changes. Unfortunately, the headphones broke recently, and he's been feeling down about it. All he wants is another pair so he can feel that connection again.
