She is a natural leader and is a member of the Missouri State Youth Advisory Board, which is a recognizable accomplishment as she works with legislators and policymakers to make the foster care system a better place for everyone.
Shanae will present a workshop at an upcoming Youth Empowerment Conference for over 200 foster youth on mindfulness. The topic is "mindfulness," and the presentation will include a journaling component that each attendee will participate in. She would like to purchase these pens for the attendees to use.
