A Basketball hoop for Cariyah's Birthday
Cariyah, 4 years old

Beech Acres Parenting CenterCariyah is an outgoing and cheerful girl. She is very confident and likes to be as independent as possible. She loves playing school with one of her sisters who is placed with her. She has been separated from her other siblings for a long time. Cariyah has faced many adversities in her life and has a history of neglect. Despite all these challenges, Cariyah is optimistic and a ray of sunshine. Her foster moms are working with her to channel her energy into learning so she can be ready for preschool. It can be challenging for Cariyah to focus while learning but she has interests that help her. For example, anything Spidey and Friends keeps her interested and helps her to get the enrichment she needs.
Cariyah is celebrating her 4th birthday and has recently reached a milestone of over two years in foster care. She has developed a strong bond with her foster mother and any time they are separated; she becomes noticeably distressed. To nurture Cariyah's growing confidence and individuality, her foster mom enrolled her in basketball, which is her activity of choice. Cariyah adores all things pink, and to support her passion, her caregivers want her to have a basketball hoop that can be adjusted as she grows. This hoop will not only cater to her current needs but she will be able to take it wherever she goes.

"Little Cariyah! I love basketball too myself! Maybe if someone got me a hoop when I was your age I'd be better than I am now! ( not very good haha) Please humbly take this gift to help fan the flames of this growing passion of yours. When we follow our passions, we may not know where it leads, but we'll recognize ourselves when we get there. God Bless you"
