Mekka lives in a foster home and has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays. She enjoys coloring, painting, playing with Barbies, and spending time outside with her peers. Mekka is placed in a special classroom where she receives one-on-one attention from her behavioral assistant and teachers. She is currently working on learning how to speak and pronounce her words.

Mekka is truly inspiring, even though she faces challenges in making friends due to her special needs. She has discovered a way to connect with her twin sister and peers by listening to audiobooks. It’s heartwarming to see how being active provides her with a platform to communicate and play at the same time, bringing joy and connection into her life. This showcases Mekka's resilience and creativity. She would greatly benefit from interactive books, as she enjoys engaging with electronic learning toys that feature interactive audio soundbooks.
