Ingrid is a fun-loving and vibrant teenager who brings joy to those around her with her constant smile and positive energy. She has a natural talent for volunteering, especially when it comes to creating craft activities and helping younger youth in her program. Ingrid’s caring nature and willingness to assist others make her a valued member of her community. Despite her outward cheerfulness, Ingrid has experienced abuse in her life that has deeply affected her. However, she is on a path to healing, finding strength through her involvement in the Leaders in Training (LIT) program. This program provides Ingrid with opportunities to build her confidence, forge healthy relationships, and develop her self-awareness. The outdoor experiences offered by the program play a key role in her growth, helping her overcome past challenges and heal through nature.

Ingrid is requesting a backpacking backpack, sleeping bag, camp stove, and dishes to enhance her experience in the outdoor adventures of the LIT program. These items will enable her to take ownership of her outdoor journeys, build confidence in her independence, and continue developing her leadership skills. With her own gear, Ingrid will be able to participate more fully in outdoor trips, share her experiences with others, and strengthen her connections with her peers. The right equipment will also provide her with a sense of comfort and security as she navigates these transformative experiences.
