An iPad for Javion who is transitioning to high school
Posted Apr 16, 2025
Javion really wants an iPad to help him adjust to high school. It’s become an important part of how he manages his emotions and regulates himself during tough moments. When he feels overwhelmed, he uses the iPad to take breaks by playing games or listening to music, which really helps him cope. He loves technology, but this alone makes him anxious about starting high school without his iPad. Just knowing he’ll have his own device with him would bring him a lot of comfort and reassurance during this transition. Over the last four years, Javion has learned to recognize when he needs a break and knows what kind of break works best for him. Having an iPad would not only give him peace of mind, but it would also help him continue to succeed academically and socially. It’s a vital tool for keeping him connected with his classmates and thriving in his new environment.
