Sensory crash pad for Silas who stimulated by jumping

Silas, 6 years old

Wish submitted by:

Fostering Hope - Lower Bucks

Silas is being raised by his aunt and uncle. He is a beautiful boy who, although nonverbal and autistic, communicates his needs through gestures and a communication tablet. He has a deep love for music, and his sweet smile brings joy to those around him. One of his favorite places is the playground, where he enjoys climbing the rocks, sliding down the slides, and swinging on the swings.

Silas wants a crash pad because he is stimulated by jumping. Much like the superheroes he loves, he often lands hard on his knees and shins, leaving them bruised. A crash pad would give him a safe, soft place to jump and land, protecting his body while still allowing him to enjoy his favorite movement. It would help him relax and self-calm throughout the day in a way that’s both fun and safe. With a crash pad, Silas can have more peaceful, injury-free playtime indoors.

"Message from foster mom...The crash pad is a life saver! Before the pad he was jumping onto the floor, and in doing so, bruising his knees and shins. So much better now! "
