Gabriel has moved into the interstate foster care system with his biological sister. He is trying to adjust and make friends. Progress is slow but steady, and his enthusiasm for these new experiences is heartwarming.

Having a sport or hobby that Gabriel can participate in is a new experience for him. His foster family has another male child who is already an accomplished athlete, so Gabriel wants to follow in his foster brother's footsteps and play sports too. He has shown interest in joining a baseball team and has recently discovered his love for the beach and wants to try surfing. Gabriel wishes for a blue surfboard so he can learn how to ride the waves with his sister and foster brother.
