She is balancing work, school, and her family. Esmeralda has been considered homeless until recently. She is in extended foster care and was approved for a Supervised Independent Living Placement.
Esmeralda is a determined single mother with a seven-month-old son. As a foster youth, she is doing her utmost to build a stable life for herself and her child despite facing recent setbacks. Currently, she is moving into a new foster youth housing program, which offers her a fresh start. However, after spending the past month couch surfing, she is in need of essentials for her new home. Specifically, Esmeralda is hoping to get a new crib for her son. The previous crib she was gifted became infested. Granting this wish would provide them with one less worry as she strives to give him a wonderful life.
