Malachi is currently attending Sacramento State and is an active member of the California Youth Commission (CYC), working toward systemic change for those impacted by the Child Welfare System. As the oldest of eight children and a first-generation college student, he has a strong sense of responsibility and leadership. Some of his interests include being an older brother, as well as writing, learning, art, and nature. In his free time, he writes poetry and seeks to educate himself about his heritage. Malachi is also passionate about the arts and storytelling. Currently, he works as a Behavioral Aide, supporting neurodivergent children and those who need assistance with their behavior in academic settings.

Malachi has recently experienced vehicle problems that have restricted his mobility and led to a loss of income. Without a vehicle, his ability to work has been limited, which is directly affecting his financial security and mental health. Repairing his vehicle is the first step toward fully reentering the workforce and stabilizing his financial situation.
