Amiya is a very smart and resourceful young lady. Amiya loves to read and has published two books on Amazon. She has not allowed her time in foster care to stop her from pursuing her dreams of one day becoming a lawyer. Amiya hopes to become successful so that she can help her much younger siblings that are in foster care.

Amiya has had a productive first year in college, successfully passing all her classes. She is studying nursing and aims to become a pediatric nurse. To keep up with her studies, she has chosen to take summer classes while also working part-time at a local grocery store. Living in a supervised independent living program means she has to manage her finances carefully. She is requesting a pair of comfortable sneakers for school and work.
