Diana is a quiet and sweet young lady who has been in foster care for years. She has finally been placed with her stepsister and is coming out of her shell. Diana loves her new placement and hopes to be adopted. She has some cognitive delays and was severely neglected in the past, which has caused her to miss out on many of life’s simple pleasures. However, she is slowly but surely having some wonderful experiences. Her stepsister is a single mom who works full-time, which makes it difficult for Diana to participate in sports or other activities. Despite this, Diana is the happiest she has ever been.

Deonna has never been to the movies and hopes to go soon. Her step-sister is a single mom with her own children, so their household budget is tight and they don't have much extra money for experiences. Deonna hadn't even thought about snacks at the theater, but she realizes she wants the full experience. This wish will help Deonna have a wonderful first movie outing with her family.
