Haven is a determined young person who has faced many challenges in his life, including time in the care system and frequent moves across Texas. Despite these difficulties, he is focused on his future and is working to reunite with his parents. Haven wants to finish school and become the second person in his family to graduate from high school. He excels in history and English, enjoys playing basketball, spending time outdoors, and has an interest in the military. His goal is to become a mechanic in the armed forces, reflecting his strong work ethic and desire to serve his country. What makes Haven stand out is his determination to improve his life and make his parents proud.

Haven has experienced instability in his life, moving in and out of the foster care system over the past few years. This has made it difficult for him to stay on track with his education. However, he is now in a stable environment and is determined to finish his high school diploma. Haven has started taking online classes and would like a laptop to work on at home, so he doesn't have to walk to the library. Achieving this goal of being the second one in his family to receive a high school diploma will be the first step toward fulfilling his dream of becoming a top mechanic in the military.
