Melani is still a cheerful child who enjoys engaging in activities like coloring, doing puzzles, playing with baby dolls, and building with blocks. Her family receives support from the Department of Children and Family Services to help them through this transition.

Melanie loves spending time with her mother and sister outdoors. However, her mom is a single parent who does not have transportation and relies on public transit and walking within the community. Melanie's mom has been struggling to manage holding Melanie's hand while pushing a stroller, which has limited their outings. Melanie frequently asks her mother about going outside to have their daily walks in the community. Having a double stroller would be super helpful to Melanie and her mom; however, her mom is currently unable to work, which would affect her eligibility for certain benefits.
