Iyla’ has a big heart and a sharp mind, especially when it comes to math, which is her favorite subject! Iyla’ loves helping others in class and around the house, always ready with a smile. When she grows up, she dreams of becoming a teacher so she can inspire and support students just like her. She is being supported by the Trenton Housing Authority.

As Iyla prepares to start second grade, she hopes to get a new pair of stylish shoes that will help her walk into the school year with confidence and pride. Her mom is a hardworking single parent who does everything she can to provide for them, but some things, like new school shoes, can be difficult to afford. For Iyla, a fresh pair of shoes would mean so much more than just something new to wear.
