Voices for Children - San DiegoKailani is a bundle of energy and drive. She just completed elementary school and will be entering middle school in the fall. Kailani does well in school and was proud to be a member of the school safety patrol team. She entered foster care due to her mother's continued struggles with mental illness and her father's incarceration.
Kailani is naturally athletic but has yet to participate in any organized sports. She is interested in joining the flag football team at school this year. Kailani wants to fit in with her peers, and having a pair of padded athletic socks would help her feel more confident, enabling her to try out for the flag football team.
