In addition to her studies and job, Anika is the primary caregiver for her two nephews, and she is determined to keep them out of the foster care system, ensuring they remain close as a family. Although she loves her job and school, she is struggling to balance all her responsibilities. Her family is receiving support from NM CYFD.
Anika is caring for her two nephews while she returns to school to finish her last year of high school. She has done everything in her power to keep them out of the foster care system after her brother suddenly passed. Her latest accomplishment was securing an apartment with enough room for them all. She is asking for help securing a bed frame for her nephews to sleep on in their new space.
