Church World Service - Jersey CityNora is a sweet and kind young girl with a bright spirit and a gentle heart. She and her family left their home in Haiti to escape violence and uncertainty. Now living in the United States, Nora faces challenges with shelter insecurity, but she continues to find joy in simple moments. She loves spending time at the park, where she can run, play, and laugh freely.
Sweet young Nora has faced several challenges since moving to the United States, particularly in finding a secure place to live. She and her family now have a small room to call their own, but unfortunately, they don't have much furniture. Nora has been sleeping on the floor, but her mom recently found a full-size bed frame on the side of the road for her. The only thing missing is a mattress. Having a mattress would ensure that Nora can sleep comfortably in a bed, especially during this difficult transition.
