Groceries for Arabella's family during the pause in SNAP benefits

Arabella, 7 years old, KS

Arabella comes from a large family, consisting of three brothers and two sisters. However, they do not all live together. Their father passed away last month, and their mother needs assistance in managing the household. Some of the siblings have been placed in foster care, while one sibling is currently away, focusing on improving their mental health. Despite the trauma she has faced in her young life, Arabella is very outgoing and enjoys drawing, riding her bike, and listening to music. She has demonstrated remarkable resilience, and I am incredibly proud of how she carries herself at school. She has been nominated for "Star Student" multiple times.

Due to the loss of a parent, the household income has significantly decreased. Mom works in the school district's transportation department and is paid only once a month. Now, worrying about SNAP benefits being halted on top of grieving has taken a toll on the entire family. Their goal is to be together again by the holidays. Helping lift everyone's spirits by providing food is the next right step we can take for this amazing family.
