A bike for Chase who has never learned to ride
Chase, 6 years old, CA |
Wish submitted by:
Voices for Children - San DiegoChase entered foster care after his mother experienced a serious mental health episode that posed significant risks to his safety. He is very shy but enjoys activities such as karate, playing soccer, and going on outings with his foster family. Chase loves animals, especially cats, and hopes to have a pet cat one day. He feels happiest when he is outdoors and active, and his new goal is to learn how to ride a bike. Currently, Chase is in the first grade at a dual immersion school. His teachers have noted that both his English and Spanish comprehension and articulation are excellent, and he proudly shows off the new words he learns to read each day.
Chase is a very shy child, but with the support of his wonderful foster family and teachers, he is gradually coming out of his shell every day. Due to his challenging life circumstances, he has missed out on many experiences that are typical for children his age. For years, he has longed to learn how to ride a bike, but he has never had an adult to help him or a bike to practice on. This holiday season, Chase's wish is to receive his very first bike, as he is now surrounded by a supportive community that is eager to assist him, including in learning how to ride.
Voices for Children - San Diego requests this wish for Chase.
