Aicha’s journey has been one of courage and perseverance. Since arriving in America from Congo in 2023, she has faced many challenges while adjusting to a new country and culture. Through the support of DCPP and her foster care experience, Aicha continues to show remarkable strength and determination. She is currently enrolled in school for ESL and is eager to improve her English so she can achieve her goals. Although she has not yet found a job, Aicha remains motivated and hopeful. She enjoys learning new things, helping others, and dreams of building a bright, independent future for herself.

Aicha is working hard to adjust to life in a new country while focusing on her education and building independence. Since she has not yet found employment, it has been difficult for her to consistently afford groceries. A gift card to ShopRite would provide Aicha with access to fresh, healthy food and ease some of her financial stress. This support would not only meet a basic need but also allow her to focus on her ESL studies and personal growth without worrying about where her next meal will come from. It would mean stability, comfort, and hope during a challenging transition.
