Brandy is a former foster youth whose journey has been shaped by creativity, advocacy, and unwavering determination. After experiencing instability, PTSD, and significant setbacks in early adulthood, she pushed through severe mental health, housing, and academic challenges to return to school. Today, she works at a nonprofit supporting foster youth in higher education and is set to graduate with her bachelor’s degree this spring. Art is Brandy’s deepest outlet, she carries a sketchbook everywhere she goes and channels her lived experience into powerful illustrations and poetry. Creating allows her to tell the story of foster youth through beauty, healing, and honesty.

Brandy really wants a Linocut Fabric Printing Kit to help her create unique designs on thrifted clothes. Growing up in foster care, she now helps other foster youth and wants to make meaningful clothing that lifts people up and raises awareness about their experiences. This kit would let her carve designs and stamp original artwork onto fabric, including custom pieces for her graduation cap. Art is her passion and a way for her to express herself, advocate for others, and heal. By supporting her wish, you're also supporting her creativity and her journey to empower herself and others.
