A bigger bike with a push handle for Jake who loves his daily rides with his caregiver

Jake, 5 years old, NJ |

Wish submitted by:

CASA of Passaic and Union Counties (NJ)

Jake is a non-verbal preschooler with autism who entered the foster care system after his single mother tragically passed away in a car accident. Structure and routine are essential for helping Jake feel secure, but his whole world was turned upside down by his mother's death. He went through a phase of extreme tantrums as he coped with the loss of his mom and the overwhelming changes in his life and routines. Fortunately, Jake is now in a stable home with a loving caregiver who is dedicated to his care and well-being. He is enjoying his swimming lessons and loves taking daily walks with his caregiver, riding along on his tricycle.

Jake's small tricycle has become too small for his growing body. He needs a bigger bike equipped with training wheels and a push handle so that his caregiver can guide him and ensure his safety. Fulfilling this wish will bring joyful smiles to this young boy's face every day.
