Deshane is a bright, determined young boy who has been through a rough and challenging foster care journey, but he continues to show incredible resilience. Even with everything he has faced, he manages to keep his spirit strong and his attitude hopeful. His ability to stay positive through hard moments shows just how courageous and remarkable he truly is. Deshane has several interests that help keep him grounded and excited about life. He loves playing outside, especially riding bikes or shooting hoops, because being active helps him feel free. He enjoys drawing and building things, using creativity to express himself when words are hard. Music is another favorite, he likes listening to songs that lift his mood and help him relax. Deshane also enjoys learning new skills, whether that’s in school, through hobbies, or by asking questions about how things work.

Deshane wishes for new winter clothes because he wants to stay warm, comfortable, and confident during the colder months. He’s growing quickly and many of his clothes no longer fit, leaving him without the warm jackets, hoodies, and layers he needs as temperatures drop. Having proper winter clothing would help him feel safe and protected when he’s outside or heading to school on cold mornings. Deshane has been through a rough foster care journey, and he hasn’t always had access to clothes that fit well or make him feel good. Receiving new winter clothing would give him a fresh start—something that’s his own and helps him feel cared for.
