Tate is a strong and resilient kid who has already faced more challenges than most his age. After being removed from his mother’s care, he was placed with his dad, who is working hard to rebuild his life after prison and provide the best he can. Despite the instability he’s lived through, Tate shows up each day with determination, working closely with his teachers to improve his behavior and learn how to better regulate his emotions. What makes Tate special is his heart—he’s kind, hardworking, and keeps trying even on the tough days. His story is one of courage, growth, and a belief that things can get better.

Tate asked for a a tablet so he can remove himself when he get anxious and angry. Tate struggles with big emotions, and a tablet can give him access to calming tools—like soothing music, sensory apps, meditation videos, or visual timers—that help him slow down and regain control when he’s overwhelmed. With so much change in his life, having something that belongs solely to him provides stability. A tablet becomes a predictable, comforting resource he can turn to when the world feels chaotic. Educational apps and structured activities can help him practice focus, follow routines, and build the skills he’s working on with his teachers.
