Develin has moved through many foster placements, and the constant change has made it difficult for him to feel settled. Even with all the instability, he continues to show resilience and quiet strength. He finds comfort in the things he loves. He enjoys playing games, staying active in sports, and listening to music. These things help him cope and create small moments of stability in his life.

After a dozen placements, Develin has one more big move ahead of him. Shortly after Christmas, Develin will be turning 18 and he will be transitioning out of foster care and into his very first apartment. This is an exciting milestone, but also a huge change for someone who has experienced so many placements over the years. Despite all the instability he’s faced, Develin continues to stay grounded through playing video games.As he prepares to start this new chapter of independence, Develin is wishing for a PS5 system. For him, it’s more than just a gaming console; it’s something familiar and enjoyable that will help make his new place feel like home.
