Nehemiah’s parents were unable to care for him due to mental health issues, so he was placed with his grandmother. He loves playing all types of sports and has tried out for both basketball and football at school, successfully making the teams. Although he is struggling a little in school due to a learning disability and is on an Individualized Education Program (IEP), participating in sports has helped him focus and improve his performance academically.

Nehemiah is asking for a basketball hoop for Christmas to practice and improve his skills. This will also help him channel his extra energy. He loves sports, and this is the one thing he truly wants.
