Resilience is an understatement when describing Miliana, a single mother of two children (ages one and four). Despite facing various employment setbacks, Miliana is determined to create a bright future for herself and her children. She has taken the initiative to enroll in and complete a supportive transitional employment program. She is now pursuing her dream of becoming an art therapist by taking classes at MassArt. Described by those who know her as fun, sweet, and deeply caring, she is committed to both her education and her identity as a mother. Even while navigating the challenges of single motherhood and unemployment, she continues to push forward and pursue her goals, remaining a role model for her children.

Miliana has worked incredibly hard this year to create stability for her family. As a full-time student without employment income, providing holiday gifts for her little ones has become a significant financial strain. She would love the chance to give her children a gift and bring them some joy this holiday season. This support would not only help a dedicated mother but also put a smile on two children’s faces.
