He entered foster care one year ago, and he has had to adapt to new environments and people, learning resilience and strength along the way. Despite the challenges he has faced, Julian continues to move forward with a positive spirit. Basketball has become one of Julian’s favorite outlets. Whether he’s playing at the park or shooting hoops after school, the game gives him a sense of freedom, confidence, and belonging. He also enjoys spending time with friends, building connections that bring him laughter, support, and a sense of normalcy.

Julian is asking for Nike socks because having comfortable, well-fitting socks helps him feel confident and cared for in his daily life. In foster care, personal items like these can be limited, so receiving them would give him a sense of normalcy and independence. These socks would not only keep him comfortable during school, basketball, and time with friends, but also show him that people notice him, value him, and want him to feel his best.
