Edd is a resilient young man who has faced many challenges throughout his life. For years, he struggled without an autism diagnosis, leading to confusion, trauma, and misdiagnoses that made it difficult for him to understand and manage his behaviors. Being nonverbal for much of his childhood added to the difficulties he experienced in school and in social settings. Early separation from his family due to immigration issues further intensified his struggles, leading to more shutting down with a new family. Recently, with a proper autism diagnosis, Edd and his parents have begun navigating support through IHSS and other resources. Today, Edd finds comfort in his alone time while his family works to ensure he receives the care and assistance he needs to thrive.

Edd needs a new laptop, as his old one has recently stopped working. A new laptop would provide vital support for his education, enabling him to complete schoolwork and access learning resources, while also assisting him with future work applications. This gift would not only empower Edd academically and professionally, but it would also ease the financial burden on his parents, making a meaningful difference for the whole family.
