Etheluna was in the custody of the Department of Human Services (DHS) and had been placed in three different foster homes by the age of three. She was separated from her sibling and placed with different families. At three, she was finally placed with her aunt. Both of her parents are currently in prison. Etheluna struggles with attachment but is making progress while living with her aunt. She is doing very well in school and enjoys doing her nails and makeup. She loves playing soccer and is looking forward to playing this spring. Additionally, she enjoys coloring and creating diamond painting art.

Etheluna is asking for a pair of slides for Christmas, just like her big sister's. She believes this new style will help her fit in with her friends at school, as they all have a pair. Having these slides will also boost her self-esteem and make her feel less singled out for not having them.
