Dawud is a very intelligent child who loves reading books and learning about the world. He dreams of becoming a scientist one day. Dawud was deeply impacted by the murder of his father, who was his sole provider and best friend. After his father’s death, Dawud suffered tremendously and went through a period of deep sadness. He often reflects on the days when his dad would pick him up from school, memories that bring both comfort and pain. His mother has struggled to explain the loss of his father in a way that eases his grief. Despite his sadness, Dawud remains determined to make his father proud by continuing to learn, grow, and pursue his dreams.

Dawud enjoys meditating on his own and listening to soft music throughout the day, which brings him a sense of comfort and peace. These quiet moments help him process his emotions and find calm. A new set of headphones would be especially meaningful for Dawud, as it would allow him to spend intentional time with himself, meditate without distractions, and continue using music as a healthy coping tool.
