Valerie faced a difficult chapter in her life when she was removed from her father's home due to an investigation into abuse. This traumatic experience deeply affected her, leading to a significant emotional crisis. In her quest for healing, Valerie has been working closely with a therapist, taking steps toward recovery. During her quiet moments, she finds solace in creativity and journaling, which help her navigate her emotions and express herself.

Valerie just started high school and is beginning to share more about herself as she settles in and joins different school activities. She lives in a busy foster home, which makes it tough for her to have quiet time with her CASA volunteer to talk about her life, school, and future goals. Going out in the community with her CASA, like getting ice cream or pizza, would really help her feel more relaxed and connected. Unfortunately, her CASA can’t drive her, and her foster parent works a lot, so getting rides is an issue. If we could provide Uber rides for Valerie, it would give her a safe way to enjoy these outings, help her feel more normal, and strengthen her bond with her CASA through special moments together.
