Amanda entered the foster care system in February 2024 after being removed from her home due to her family's difficult circumstances. Her mother sought help on a community site where people share resources and support one another. When a volunteer came to deliver the requested items, they found the living conditions unacceptable and reported the family to the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). As a result, Amanda was not only taken from her home but also separated from her family. Although she is still coping with the trauma of her removal, Amanda enjoys spending time outside and cherishes moments with her siblings.

Amanda is eager to stay active and make the most of her time with her family. By providing her with a bike, she can easily engage in outdoor activities. This will not only help her stay fit but also strengthen her bond with her siblings. Having a common interest in biking will create lasting memories and enjoyable moments together.
