Mecklenburg County Guardian ad LitemDeasia has been in foster care since 2015. Despite her many challenges, she continues to push forward, with a desire to succeed. She participated in the teen health GEMS (The Girls Educated and Motivated for Success Mentoring Program) this spring. She is active in the independent living program, for foster teens. De’Asia is a 9th grader and loves to dance. She is always interested in changing her hair, nails and fashion. A lot of her free time is spent with friends in her new neighborhood.
Deasia wants to celebrate her birthday with her friends at AMF Bowling. She has always wanted a bowling partyShe has gained a lot of trust from her Independent Living Social Worker and thinks this would be the best way to celebrate not only her birthday but also a huge accomplishment.
